About Valerie Travers
Painting became a passion nearly 30 years ago and since then it has not diminished, in fact it increases as time goes on. I began exhibiting within my first year of painting and have exhibited in galleries, exhibitions and privately, selling both locally and abroad. I post almost daily on facebook, and instagram and love the interaction with people from all over the world. Nature is evident in my work, such as ever changing seascapes, landscapes, sunsets and skies but I am also drawn to abstraction as I feel it allows complete freedom of expression. I work in oil and acrylic mainly but enjoy using pastels and mixed media too. Variety is the spice of life, so the saying goes, and I feel this applies to my work. I try not to be rigid...
